Researchers, trainees, and the Executive Committee at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health were pleased to welcome Professor Santa Ono, UBC President and Vice-Chancellor, on August 9 for an interactive tour.
The tour included highlights from the labs of Drs. Haakon Nygaard, Brian MacVicar, Terrance Snutch, Catharine Winstanley, and Naznin Virji-Babul, plus presentations on the Graduate Program in Neuroscience from Dr. Liisa Galea, and the NeuroImaging and NeuroComputation Centre from Dr. Kurt Haas. Drs. Raymond Lam and Lakshmi Yatham highlighted the Mood Disorders Clinic, and Matt Sacheli (PI: Dr. Jon Stoessl) spoke about Parkinson's research in the Movement Disorders Clinic.
