Public Talk: The Environment, Physical Activity, and Your Health

The UBC Physical Activity and Precision Health Research Cluster invites you to come and join us for an evening of presentations on the latest knowledge in how the environment affects your physical activity and health.
Three experts will be featured.
Dr. Michael Koehle, MD, is a physician, practicing academic sport and exercise medicine at the University of British Columbia, an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology, and the Director of the Division of Sport and Exercise Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at UBC. His research focuses on the interaction between exercise, the environment and health.
Dr. Marc Adams, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University. Dr. Adams has research training in psychology and public health, and a special interest in the development of interventions to promote physical activity, healthful eating, and other behaviours critical to the prevention of chronic diseases.
Dr. Brian Saelens, PhD, is a Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry & Behavioural Sciences at the University of Washington and Principal Investigator at Seattle Children’s Research Institute. Among his various research interests, Dr. Saelens explores how environmental factors and policies influence physical activity and eating behaviours in children and adults.
